After a long two year wait, the boy that I sent off on his mission April 15, 2009 to the Edmonton, Alberta Canada mission, is coming home TOMORROW! And no I did not wait for him. Yes I'm excited that I'm still around, but I did date others and obviously the others weren't meant to be. Right now I feel like I have every emotion running through me. I go from being super excited, to super nervous with butterflies in my stomach, to wanting to cry because it's been so long since I've seen him, to day dreaming about what might/could happen with us, back to being freaked out and nervous again and it's a never ending circle! The past two days I've had to go for runs after work because one, to pass the time and two, to get out all my energy cause sometimes I feel like squealing like a little girl and jumping up and down. I am just so excited to see him!
We actually met on a blind date that my friend (Jolene) and her then boyfriend, now husband (Jeff, Jared's brother) set up. We went to the Botanical Gardens for the winter garden-a-glow which was a great date idea and walked around for a while, then there was an ice cream place down the street that we went to. I think was a Dairy Queen, but can't remember cause it's not there any more. Then after that we went to a movie (August Rush, when it had just come out in theaters) and ended the date after out movie. Then our second date was a week? later and we went on a picture scavenger hunt around down town Boise with some friends. After that date nothing really happened. We still talked online and texted but nothing really happened until Jeff and Jolene's wedding. We got to spend all day together since I was the maid of honor and he was a groomsmen. I can't remember exactly what we did on our dates after the wedding but it wasn't to long after when we started dating exclusively. We dated for a year and became best friends.
If you ask Jared or me, neither of us wanted to go on the date because of our past blind date experiences. Who knew that 3 and 1/2 years later, I would so stinking excited to see him from returning from his mission.
This is Jared when he got his mission call. ONE MORE DAY! :D

McCall Winter Carnival
It's now February and there is usally so much that goes on. My brithday, my mom's birthing, Valentine's Day, and a big thing that I have never gotten to expreience...The McCall Winter Festival. Every year the Winter Carnival sneaks up on me, and because it has always come as a surprise I have never been before. I have always wanted to see these amazing sculptures people talk about but i've always had to work or had something going on that weekend. Well this year I made it a priority to go! My friend Ivy and I both had the day off from work so we made a girls day out of it! We drove up in the morning and were there all day and were back in Boise by 8pm. It was a really fun day BEAUTIFUL day and I plan on making this a tradition to go every year now. Maybe one year I'll get lucky enough to go to the parade and the fireworks. Until next year, I will just have to settle for looking at these pictures.

Old Friends
About three years ago I was a maid of honor in a wedding for one of my best friends from high school. Jeff and Jolene Head were married March 28, 2008 in the Boise Idaho temple. It's now almost 3 years later and they are expecting thier first child. I'm so glad I have gotten to be apart of their lives for as long as I have been with a wedding and now be there for them with their first daughter. Jolene had a baby shower in Emmett on January 22 and I was so excited I got to attend. Our friend Christina who we've known since we were Seniors in high school when she came here as a foriegn exchange student, and was also a brides maid for Jolene, was able to come to the baby shower. We had a great time catching up and seeing each other.
Congratulations Jeff and Jolene! I'm so excited for the two of you!

Snow Day
Remember when you were in grade school and you always dreamed of a Snow Day because you hated to get all bundled up to go to school just to sit inside and stare out the window and wish you were outside playing in it? Well I have always felt like I got ripped off because I never got a snow day. A day to skip school just to build a snowman, make snow angles, seld, and play with friends. That's the dream for all kids right? ALAS I finally got my snow day! On December 1st I woke up to find 8 inches of snow outside. So again I thought "dang it it's just like grade school but instead I wish I didn't have to go to work." So I was dragging my feet trying to get ready for work so I would be on time, when my boss called me. I figured she was just calling to say she would be a little late, but no! She told me the owner said we could close for the day and have our own snow day! Oh my goodness I was so excited! I FINALLY get a snow day! Years later it would finally come! Well long story short I got to play in the snow and have the whole day off. I didn't have any friends that I could play with or any siblings to hang out with, but I still enjoyed the day by myself.
Here are pictures from my adventure!
Some cool pictures that I took that I liked.
Snow Angel
This was my snowman...
He was a little guy cause I couldn't get the snow to roll haha!

Bored? I dont think so!
First off, I think there's a 50/50 percentage of girls who get really bored of their hair when they've had it one color of a long time. Maybe that is a lie and I just think that because of the people I'm around all the time are the type who always change their hair. So...I figured I'd follow the crowd. I got tired of the blond and decided to go closer to my natural hair color which is more brown. (It use to be way blond, but not so much any more) I'm really really liking it and might even want to go a little darker too!
Second, when you live in Boise and it's fall, it's kind of a boring season as far as what to do for fun. It is by far my favorite season because of the amazing colors!! But boring because it's not warm enough to do fun things outside and not cold enough to have snow in the mountains to go snowboarding. So what do we do? BON FIRES! We've had a few just in the past few weeks and they've been a blast! Fire, Music, Friends...how does it get better?
Now...Time for Christmas! Can't wait to decorate the house, listen to the Christmas music, go shopping, and most exciting part of all...have ALL my siblings and niece home for Christmas! (Minus my brother that's on his mission, and SO excited to talk to him on Christmas) This year will be one for the books!

Halloween Came early
For some reason this years Institute Halloween dance came a week earlier than planned. For my friend Ivy and I, that meant the excitement of dressing up was even closer and we didn't have to wait forever! We had a BLAST! Had to share some pictures.
The only picture we got with cade, his eyes are closed. Gees Cade!
Pre-Dance
Ivy was an 80's chick. We had fun one night making her scrunchies she's wearing.
Cave women...
Uh...you took my glasses.
Just realized we're all Blondies...
Another great Halloween! Can't wait for next year!
